Application and Important Service Terms

This repair service applies to the VGS1, VGS2, and VGS3 versions of the 722.9 conductor plate.
Important Note: Our service DOES NOT cover the newer Continental 722.9 TCM VGS4 version equipped with FBS4 security.

After refitting the module, you may need a universal or dedicated OBD2 scanner to clear the old DTCs from the system. If your module has a “no communication” error (meaning the scanner cannot read the TCM at all), the main processor may be completely dead. In that specific case, you might need our Mercedes 7G TCM Programming / Unlock Service to code a used donor replacement instead.
